In Tilburg, the Netherlands, we implemented the first Wastewater-as-a-Service.
We manage the NWB (New Water Business Tilburg B.V.) industrial wastewater treatment facility, where wastewater from multiple companies is centrally treated and reused. This project demonstrates how circular water management and the WaaS® model contribute to a more sustainable industry.
NWB in Tilburg comprises a private industrial wastewater treatment plant that collects wastewater from four companies in the region (Agristo, Coca-Cola, Fujifilm, and IFF) in order to treat it sustainably and upgrade it for reuse. Due to their high water consumption, these partners decided to jointly invest in a central plant on the Fujifilm site.
